Join Stan Davies for a full day 'Pemberton Travel & Lifestyle' photography workshop, 9am -4pm, Saturday 29th April 2017.  Learn how to tell a story about your travels through photography.  Document a day in the life of a Pemberton local, full day of theory and practical sessions around Pemberton.  An event registered with Unearthed Pemberton festival.  Cost $70pp, numbers are limited so register with Wendy or Rob asap.  Meet at Pemberton CRC.   Sponsored by the Pemberton Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mirage Digital Printing and Framing Service, Camera Electronic.  All participants will receive a free A3 print of their choice from Mirage Digital Printing and Framing Service plus 20% of frame of choice.  All participants will have the chance to compete for a $150 and $100 Camera Electronic voucher, all participants will submit 2 images taken on the day, Camera Electronic will select the winners..

The theme for the 2017 Pemberton Photography Club Competition & Exhibition has been announced - 'South West Timber Industry'.  This theme will commemorate the closure of the Pemberton Timber Mill in December 2016 ending 103 years of timber milling heritage in the Pemberton area.  A special exhibition 'End of an Era' will also be on display featuring images of the Auswest Timbers workers and the Pemberton Mill captured prior to closure by the Pemberton Photography Club members.  This display is sponsored by Auswest Timbers.   Great prizes for the 'South West Timber Industry' competition so get out into the region and get your shots to showcase every facet of this industry!  Entry forms will be available for download soon and the forms will need to be submitted by 29 March 2017.  Framed, ready to hang entries to be delivered to the Manjimup Art Gallery by 12pm Tuesday 11th April. 2016 themes - 'Ephemeral' and 'Country - Mono, in the South West'.   Ephemeral - your interpretation of the theme. Country - images must be in mono and from within the geographical boundaries of the South West of WA. All images must have been taken since 1 January 2014.   There are 2 sections - Framed/canvas print section and Mounted section.  Exhibitors can enter two images per section, one entry per theme.  Exhibition at the Painted Tree Gallery from 29th April to 26th May 2016, all entries must be available for gallery sales.  No size restrictions for Framed/Canvas prints but must be ready to hang.  Mounted prints - images must be mounted in WAPF approved professional matts with an external size of 40cm x 50cm.  Minimum cutout size is to be 20cm in either direction, maximum cutout size is to be 43cm x 33cm.  Entry Fees Sections 1 & 2 $15 per entry.  Section 3 $10 per entry.  Members of the Pemberton Photography Club, Pemberton Arts Group and any member of a photography club affiliated with the WA Photographic   Federation who resides in WA.  Non-members—$20 per entry in each section.  Entry forms to be submitted by Tuesday 10th April 2016.
